Long known as an industry innovator in sustainable products and processes. We’ve just reached another milestone on our Mission Zero™ journey, “ our promise to eliminate any potential impact our products or processes may have on the environment by 2020.”
All of Bentley Prince Street’s broadloom and tile products have achieved certification to the Sustainable Choice™ carpet certification program based on the NSF-140 Draft Standard. This certification replaces the Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) Standard to which Bentley Prince Street previously certified its products.
Here’s how Bentley Prince Street products meet the standard:
- All Bentley Prince Street standard broadloom and carpet tile products have achieved Sustainable Choice Gold certification.
- The standard broadloom products are made with the High PerformancePC™ post consumer recycled content backing system that uses state-of-the art technology, never before applied in the carpet industry, to recover mineral residuals from the global paper recycling industry in an environmentally friendly fashion for use in carpet backing.
- Additionally, all products utilizing Bentley Prince Street’s optional Prestige PlusRC™ backing system are also certified to Sustainable Choice Gold.
- And, all of Bentley Prince Street’s standard carpet tile products backed with NexStep® Cushion Tile are certified as Sustainable Choice Gold, to complement the Sustainable Choice Gold certified broadloom styles.
